General Email Questions and Answers

Question:  You state 2-3 weeks for shipping, but is there any way to do this faster?

Currently the extract is shipped the best possible way by U.S.P.S. only.  We do NOT accept Credit Cards or PayPal.  Send a money order instead of a check for faster processing.

Question:  How many mg of thujone are contained in one ounce of your extract?  Is this an all natural product?

The herb wormwood does contain thujone. However, we do not know the exact small percentage.  Yes, the wormwood extract is an all natural product.

Question:  Where can I get Absinthe or Absente liqueur?

Absinthe with wormwood is not sold in the United States.  A true version of the alcohol Absinthe is still being sold in Europe today. We do not have information on how or where you can purchase it. We can only recommend that you perform an online search for European liquor retailers.

Absente® information can also be found at:  www.Absente.com

Question:  Can you inform us of any wholesale pricing for your product?

Please see the Contact page and write Absente®, LLC directly.

Question:  Can this product be used to give dogs instead of heartworm medicine?  I heard it can induce a miscarriage?

We do not state any such fact to mislead you to believe it is used in such a fashion stated. It is not known for heartworm prevention in animals, nor for inducing a miscarriage or other medical use.  Please consult with a doctor before using!

Question:  Can you give me information on plants, seeds or other herbs?

Try doing a search for "Exotic and Unusual Plant Seeds" or "Horticulture on plant and garden care" on the internet. We sell the extract, but don't actually grow the plants or produce the product here.

"I wrote to your customer service representative to make sure this is an all natural product containing thujone. I just wanted to make sure the herb had not been altered. Glad to know it has not. Some extracts of wormwood remove the thujone. To receive the full benefits of the herb, one should have the whole herb."

"I happen to be 54, a chemist & chemical engineer. Grew up in Croatia where (close to) every family has a bottle of wormwood leaves steeping in good quality grappa or plum brandy. Sole purpose of the concoction is for use as a stomach aid, sometimes aperitif and medicine (even for children). Arguably, the mass hysteria that led to banning of wormwood was more related to temperance movement than to any other reason.
In any health food store you can find shelf upon shelf of "stuff" that can mess you up much more seriously than wormwood if you consume serious enough quantities. Wormwood (still!) can whip people up in to a frenzy (Most recently in the UK: reimport of Absinthe). I still find it fascinating - how about ALAR on them apples?"
